Emilia was born and raised in New York in a music-loving household. She started taking private voice lessons as a child and performing wherever and whenever she could. Emilia went to Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts as a voice major and then continued her training as a vocal performance major at New York University. She has studied with numerous renowned singers, including Judy Blazer, Lauren Flanigan, and Rosa Vento.

While at NYU, Emilia began working at the CPSM Music Theatre Summer Workshop at Queens College, first as a vocal coach and then as music director. Since graduating, Emilia has continued teaching, both privately and in the classroom. She ran an after-school vocal performance class at The Epiphany School and is currently a music teacher at St. Andrew Avellino Catholic Academy. Her students have performed in local and professional productions in New York and have gone on to attend prestigious high school and college programs, including those Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, Marymount, and NYU.

Emilia also teaches voice lessons to non-singers. She works with individuals who use their voices regularly (including public speakers and teachers), teaching them about vocal health and helping them to develop strong, healthy speaking voices.

In addition to teaching, Emilia performs as a singer, actor, and improviser. She was on a house team at The Armory for two and a half years and her improv team, Parliament, hosted a monthly show at the P.I.T. She is also a co-founder, actor, writer, and director of Random Thursdays Radio Theatre. Check out their radio plays at https://randomthursdays.com.
